For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved" But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, "How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!" Romans 10:13-15

Welcome to Across Borders Ministries ("ABM")

ABM was founded in 2008 by a businessman and lay missionary who had a passion and a burden for the peoples of Colombia. Within only three weeks of receiving his calling, our Founder was invited to attend a South American Mission Conference in Gainesville, Florida where he was introduced to all the Southern Baptist missionaries serving in Colombia on behalf of the International Mission Board.

As a result of these contacts, in August 2008, ABM led its first small group of lay missionaries to Cartagena and Bogota, Colombia. Since then, ABM has led yearly mission trips to Cartagena, Colombia with the group size growing from six people in 2008 to over sixty people in 2011. In addition, the number of Cartagena Baptist churches partnering with our mission teams, have grown from four to over fifteen during the same period of time. As the gospel is preached, hundreds are coming to Christ on each of ABM’s mission trips. We believe that God has opened the borders to Colombia like never before and in 2012, we will expand our ministry to other locations in Colombia.

However, ABM’s vision is not just limited to Colombia. ABM desires to cross borders around the world, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ; planting, strengthening, growing and equipping churches; and exemplifying the love of Jesus Christ through compassionate works. Just as Isaiah cried, “here am I! Send me.” ABM stands ready to be used by God as He directs (“even under water”). We invite you to join our ministry and/or one of our teams, and watch God work, first in Colombia and then around the world…….

Pray
“Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest “(Luke 10:2). “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”( 1 John 5:14).
Write your testimony
One of the most effective ways of sharing Christ is by telling people what Jesus has done for you. In fact, people are more receptive to hearing your story than some systematic or mechanical approach to presenting the gospel. You should be able to describe your life before Christ, tell how and when you received Christ and then describe your life after accepting Christ. To be most effective, make sure you include God’s plan of salvation in your testimony. The website www.5clicks.com provides step by step guidance in writing your personal testimony.
